ISC & COBIS

The Independent Schools Council is the umbrella organisation for independent schools in the United Kingdom, representing 1,280 independent schools educating more than 500,000 children. Member schools are accredited by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), and the Head of each ISC school is normally a member of one of six separate Heads' Associations. Aiglon is unusual - in this as in many other ways - as we are affiliated to the ISC through two Heads' Associations: the prestigious Headmaster and Headmistresses Conference (HMC), and the Council for British International Schools (COBIS). Aiglon is the only ISC school in Switzerland.
