Innovative Ideas for a Smarter Planet

Dr Andy Stanford-Clark, IBM Master Inventor, will introduce the technology which is helping to make the world smarter: fitting sensors to things in the real world, linking them together via the internet, and then using intelligent computer systems to work out what's happening. Andy will demonstrate this "smarter planet" vision using his home automation system, including monitoring electricity and water usage, remote control of lights from his mobile phone, and his electronic mouse traps!
