Clairmont

Together with their experienced tutoring team, the houseparents of Clairmont, Mr and Mrs Lafond-Puyo encourage the girls to feel pride and loyalty towards each other and continually strive to create a 'home from home' environment in one of the longest standing houses at Aiglon College. The old addage of ‘having respect for one another’ is of paramount importance to Mr and Mrs Lafond-Puyo and in turn it is also important to each and every girl in the house.
 
Clairmont’s motto is “Our better, is better” and this is often evident in the enthusiastic manner with which the Clairmont girls approach competitive inter house events such as debating competitions and various sports competitions.  However, more importantly than their desire to compete is Clairmont’s aim
to extract the very best from each and every girl in the house.  Maiga Winzenried, Clairmont’s House Captain concurs; “There are many diverse talents within the House.  Everyone participates even when it’s not in their strongest area”.  The diverse nature of the girls in Clairmont does not prevent them from being very close as a house and this is in part helped by the variety of house trips and events that take place every year. A selection of recent activities includes; visits to the Bern Christmas Markets and shopping trips in Lausanne, a very colourful 60’s party, karaoke nights and cinema trips.
