La Baita
As well as being the hub of the Junior School with classrooms, the dining room and common rooms, La Baita is also home to 29 boys between the ages of 9 and 13 who live there. The top floor consists of 7 rooms with 4 beds each (one has 5 beds) and shower rooms. It is a purpose-built building that exudes activity, warmth and comfort and the house spirit is further encouraged through the weekly expeditions that take place every weekend where regularly almost half of the Junior School is out on Ex. In addition to this, every term includes a 3 day cultural, ski or camping ex. It is easy to see why La Baita is such a thriving and happy house!
George and Carol Logie, house parents of La Baita describe the house as their ‘extended family’ and work hard to create a supportive and family atmosphere within the house. Their high level of presence and the support that they offer to the boys helps to create a comfortable and healthy blend of school and home life within the house.
