Aiglon Mumbai Benefit 2011
Click on the link below to view the digital photo album of the Aiglon Mumbai Benefit 2011 held on Friday 8th April hosted by the Aiglon College Alumni Eagle Association (ACAEA) and the Friends of Aiglon College India (FOAC IN) .... We gathered a diverse age group of alumni (1965 to a current student = 46 years apart) from India and beyond with a few current parents who joined us for a festive Aiglon centric day ... That was the beauty of our gathering .... Our day started off with a delectable lunch in a private dining room in Souk Restaurant at the top of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel with superb views of the Arabian Sea and the majestic Gateway of India below us .... as hosted by alumnus Dhananjay Lodha (01) .... A siesta was inevitable after which we proceeded to a pre dinner Cocktail Reception on the terrace of the beautiful home of Aditi Doshi Mehta (01) and Vishal Mehta offering breathtaking views of the Mumbai skyline and the ocean beyond .... This was followed by a formal dinner at Onyx, the banquet room at the Intercontinental Hotel on Marine Drive ..... Oliver Bareau (89) was our auctioneer for the evening (5* Hotel Forte in Sardegna, Italy, Full Board stay at the Clinque La Prarie in Montreux Switzerland, our traditional Aiglon College Cow Bell, 5* Mumbai Hotel stay, Brioni Mens Tie and Pochette set, Etro for Aiglon tee shirts and Aiglon Memorablia) .... an interactive and successful auction later some headed off to an after party at alumni owned Shiro to unwind after a full day of celebrating Aiglon ....
Our Corporate Sponsors were Assamco - Jajodia Family (P;11) at the Silver level and Clinque La Prairie (CLP) at the Bronze level .... We thank them for their participation and support ..... Our gift bags were courtesy of Assamco Tea and the Intercontinental Hotel .... We thank all those who participated as we resurrected childhood friendships as well as made many new ones ... all whilst we gathered to support the John Corlette Scholarship Endowment Fund at Aiglon ...
