Expeditions

Each Summer School student takes part in a three-day expedition. The venues depend on age and experience, with recent destinations including Château D’Oex, Arolla, Lac Tanay, Champéry and Gruyères. Here, students are provided with the opportunity to learn about camping and cooking for themselves and to develop resilience, teamwork and an appreciation of nature.

The focus of each camp is a hike up to a small peak offering inspiring views of the area. Other camp activities are orienteering, swimming in natural lakes, team-building activities and relaxing around the campfire.

For many, this camping expedition is both a challenge and a memorable experience of the Summer School and the Swiss outdoors.
