How many hours of language lessons do the children have?

Three hours per day on most days. The children have a total of 45 hours of language lessons during the Summer School.

How many children are there in each class?

The average language class size is 10 children.

Do you accept children with little or no knowledge of French/English?

Yes, we accept children of all levels; from complete beginner right the way through to advanced level

How do I know that my child will be put into the right class for his/her level of language?

On the first morning of the Summer School (after Arrivals Day), every child sits our language placement test. The language classes are organised according to their performance in this test. During the course of the Summer School, our Heads of Languages monitor the classes and check that the children continue to be placed in the class that is appropriate to their ability level. If a child shows an ability that is inconsistent with their class, they will then be moved into the most appropriate class.
