Pocket Money & Mobile Phones

How much pocket money should I give to my child?

We recommend around CHF 500.- for the three week period. This is simply a recommendation and you are free to give them more or less. On arriving at the Summer School, each child gives their pocket money to their Houseparents who will keep it safe for them during the programme. The children will be allowed to take out small amounts of their pocket money on a daily basis.

Can my child bring his/her mobile phone and/or their lap top with them?

The children are allowed to use their mobile phones during their freetime periods only. (The freetime periods are usually  from 5 - 6.30pm and from 9-9.30pm) Outside of these times, the mobile phones are given to the houseparents for safekeeping. Please note that the children are not permitted to have their mobile phones during classes, activity sessions or during the expedition camping phase.  We stongly recommend that children do NOT bring their own laptops with them. There are computer terminals with internet access available for this use throughout the Aiglon campus. Please note, that we cannot be held responsible for any personal items that go missing during the Summer School.
