Activities

We use the medium of adventurous activities to try to challenge the young people and to lead them safely through a series of adventures. These activities include rock-climbing, via ferrata, mountain biking and white water rafting. The main focus of the programme, however, is on two two-day expeditions. These expeditions involve spending two nights in Swiss Mountain Huts and learning about glacial travel and basic alpine mountaineering. If enthusiasm and determination of the student group allows, it is hoped that the climax of the programme will be the ascent of a 4,000m alpine peak during the second of these expeditions (under the guidance and supervision of IFMGA qualified Mountain Guides). The programme also includes several cultural experiences, including a trip to the Montreux Jazz Festival.
