2022 Family Welcome

You are nervous and excited at the same time —but don't worry, we are here to help you settle in and can't wait for you to join us.

Please regularly check this page as any changes may affect your planning.

Below you will find all the information you and your family need to ensure that your first few days at Aiglon are full of many wonderful memories. Our Welcome Programme officially begins on Friday, 26 August. The Uniform Fair is open for appointments from Wednesday. Please consult the campus map on the sidebar for reference, and don't forget to register for the various events where required. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

New Student Induction Programme

This two-day programme has been designed to ensure all our new students and their families, both boarding and day, are fully prepared to join our school community. With this in mind, the induction activities will mark the beginning of students' time in our care:

- First night for boarders in the house is Friday, 26 August

- Induction activities on Saturday, 27 August

Parents will still have opportunities to see their children. However, all new students are expected to take part in the full programme.

Some of our family events require registration. Please use this link or the sidebar button to RSVP. Do not register enrolled student(s) for these events as they have already been included in our numbers.

Your one-stop Aiglon shop! Guided by a personal shopper, you will be fitted with your No 1's, No. 2's, ski, sport and expedition uniforms and everything in between. You should expect to spend approximately an hour and a half at the fair to accomplish everything. Alongside our team of 40 Aiglon staff members helping you, we will have representatives from a number of retailers (SWICA Insurance, UBS Bank and Ocshner Sports) to ensure everything you need to begin life in Switzerland is available in one place. Visits are by appointment only. Book below.

Finance & Travel
While at the Fair, please also ensure you visit our Travel Secretary to hand in your passport and finalise your application for the student residence permit. However, ensure you have first opened any accounts that may require official identification. The Finance Office will also be on hand should there be any questions regarding tuition and fees.

ICT Team
All students Year 9 and above should bring their laptop to the Uniform Fair. Our dedicated IT team will be on hand to help you set it up for the Aiglon network. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

PLEASE NOTE: Uniform bookings are not available to new families on Saturday, the 27th. Students will be involved in their induction programme when families are welcome to register to join our parent brunch.

PLEASE NOTE: For students whose uniform fair appointment booking is scheduled after Friday night, bedding needs to be pre-ordered. We will deliver it to the house in time for your first night's stay.

Arrival Information

Accessing Aiglon's Campus

Aiglon is 120km from Geneva and 250km from Zurich. Geneva (GVA) airport is closest, but both cities are served by frequent international flights.

The campus is easy to access via car or public transport. For driving directions, please enter the address of the School: Avenue Centrale 61, 1885 Chesières.

By train from Geneva to our nearest station in Aigle takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. The Aigle train will be listed as going to "Sion and Brig". Do not worry that Aigle is not listed on the information boards. Visit the link on the left for timetables and connections.

From Aigle station, you may get a taxi to Aiglon, a journey of about 25 minutes, or a TPC bus, just outside the station. The stop for Aiglon is called Chesières-Aiglon College and is next to the school. The bus journey takes about 30 minutes.

Swiss railways use an integrated ticketing system and it is possible to buy a ticket from Geneva Airport to Chesières-Villars, which is valid for both bus and train.

Parking Information

Congratulations, you made it to Chesières! Now, where do you park? Parking marshals will be on hand to direct you to the appropriate area. Please proceed to the registration desk and drop off your luggage, or the Additional Parking (No. 20) for long term parking.
