Winter/Spring 2026

Issue 25

The Anniversary finale shows the strength of the Aiglon community.

This August, Aiglonians from around the world returned to our mountain to renew bonds of friendship, to recognise the extraordinary vision of generations of educators and to celebrate. And what a lot there was to celebrate: not just 75 years of success, but also the opening of new campus buildings and the extraordinary contributions of volunteers and donors.

The Right Stuff
  • View from the Mountain

As a school, we've been thinking a lot about integrity and honesty, and how we can make them living values which are implicit in everything we do. What do these characteristics look like in our day-to-day lives?

Chalet Barbey: The stunning new Welcome Centre is the heartbeat of our community.

Features

Seventy-Five Years

Four days. Twelve events. And one extraordinary celebration. As the finale to Aiglon’s 75th Anniversary year, we welcomed back members of our community from across the ages to catch up, share stories and rediscover just what makes Aiglon so special.

How to Give

At Aiglon, service isn't just about giving back right now – it's about preparing students for a lifetime of philanthropy, learning just what it takes to truly make a difference.

A Very Big Adventure

Highest? No. Furthest? Nope. Most technically difficult? Not likely. But for Junior School students on their first expedition it could be their greatest adventure yet.

The Beautiful Game

Aiglon's collaboration with Champions League winners Manchester City extends far beyond the pitch. Students are learning what it takes to succeed whatever their chosen field.

Recreation

Where the current crop of Aiglonians demonstrate that while Aiglon may have changed, it hasn't changed quite as much as you might think....

Fancy a spot of chess, mate? It's a game of strategy and cunning – and it looks as though it's been going on at Aiglon for decades!.

Although the pieces now live outside La Baita, here we have reunited them with their traditional location by Chalet Forbes, now home to several benches and the school flag.

Our thanks to chess club members Gian and Neva (Year 8) for helping us recreate the original image, which we think was from the 1970s (confirmation welcome!).

Do you have an image of your time at Aiglon you would like us to recreate? Email your suggestions to communications@aiglon.ch.
