Aiglon College is pleased to announce the initial International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results for the Class of 2025.

High Participation

In publishing these results Aiglon is particularly proud that a significant majority of its students enter the IB Diploma. “We believe that a high rate of participation is really important,” says Laura Hamilton Aiglon’s IB Coordinator and Assistant Head for the Inspiration Years (12-13) . “Not only has this class as a whole been able to fully embrace Aiglon’s commitment to holistic education through expeditions, travel experiences, activities and service opportunities, but the cohort will receive the IB Diploma alongside their Aiglon Diploma.”

“We are proud of all of our students,” says School Director, Nicola Sparrow. “To believe in the importance of holistic development and character education means that student growth is so much more than a number on a page, yet it remains an important reflection of achievement. Regardless of whether a student took the full IB Diploma or specific courses, we are confident that this tailored approach provides our students with the right tools to chart the best path for their education.”

Results Highlights

The cohort achieved an average score of 36.31 out of 45 possible points. The initial IB results were released to students on 06 July 2025. These initial results did not yet reflect possible adjustments based on the “enquiries upon results” process, which was updated on 12 August 2025 from 36.0 after remarks.

  • Diploma Pass Rate: 100%
  • 40 Points or above: 24.20%
  • Highest Score: 44
  • Average Subject Grade: 5.71 of 7

During this year’s graduation ceremony, Mrs Sparrow reminded the Class of 2025 that results are only a small part of an Aiglon education. “Here you’ve been taught that respect, responsibility, service, balance and courageous challenge are not just things to put on a CV – they are the foundation for authentic leadership,” she said. “The kind of leadership that starts not with what others expect of you but with who you are and what you stand for… what the world desperately needs is you. Entirely, honestly, unapologetically yourself.”

“On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire Aiglon alumni community I want to congratulate the Class of 2025,” says Alessandro Corsini (Delaware, 1975) Chair of the Board of Governors. “These results represent a tremendous personal and institutional achievement and the school is proud of you. I hope that your success in the IB can be a strong starting point as you begin a new chapter beyond Aiglon. We will be cheering you on.”

The Journey Beyond

“Our team works with students from Year 10 to plan their higher education journey after graduation and the completion of their IB and Aiglon Diplomas,” says Ms Patience Fanella-Koch, Director of University Advising. “We are really proud of how the Class of 2025 has grown and developed; this cohort’s IB results combined with their Aiglon experience opens doors to top universities around the world.”

The vast majority of the Class met the conditional offers of admission to their top-choice universities. 41% are going to the United States, 21% are going to the United Kingdom, 27% are going to other universities worldwide (11 different countries), and 11% are pursuing a gap year. “The diversity and range of opportunity is something we really try to encourage as students make their lists,” says Ms Fanella-Koch. “We are able to bring in admissions representatives from various universities as well as our talented alumni who can share first-hand experiences about what it is like to study a particular subject or in a new country. In this way the new graduates are supported well beyond the day they receive their results.”

Structure of the IB Diploma Programme

IB assessments are a combination of internal and external assessments. The grading scale ranges from 1 to 7, with 7 being the highest. The Diploma is awarded to students who gain at least 24 points across six subjects (three studied at higher level and three standard level) as well as satisfactory participation in the three core elements: Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).

Global credibility of the IB Programme

Over fifty years ago, the International Baccalaureate Organisation was registered in Geneva, Switzerland. Embodying an ethos that chimed with Aiglon’s founding values, in 2010, the school adopted the full two-year IB Diploma Programme for Years 12 and 13. The IB is taught in 143 countries. Aiglon is an authorised IB World School and currently ranks in the world's top IB schools.

Aiglon High School Diploma

All graduates also receive the Aiglon High School Diploma, accredited by NEASC (The New England Association of Schools and Colleges), opening up further academic opportunities around the world. This diploma recognises the uniqueness of Aiglon’s programme alongside the rigour of the IB.
