Welcome to Issue 26

Issue 26 of the award-winning Aiglon Magazine has now been published! Our global community should be receiving their print copy in the weeks ahead. In this issue we are especially proud to be celebrating the lifelong passions honed at Aiglon and shared with the community.

The summer term brings an end to another year on the mountain, with great poignancy for our graduating students. But as the Class of 2026 start to plan the next stage of their journey, we know they are unlikely to be away for long – as demonstrated by the way so many of you continue to re-engage with Aiglon.

Indeed, on page 24, we report on how Kanyi Maina (Alpina, 2006) led a team from Aiglon and Starehe to the top of Kilimanjaro to support the scholarship programme – and celebrate his 40th birthday. And on page 10, we jump into the driving seat with racing driver Alfonso de Orléans-Borbón (Delaware, 1986), who has been working with the student karting team.

Elsewhere we celebrate the passions discovered, developed and honed at Aiglon. On page 18, we meet our student entrepreneurs who, with the guidance of the Aiglon alumni community, are finding out what it really takes to strike out on your own. And on page 34 we examine the many ways in which students are using technology to enable their human creativity to thrive. Finally, on page 28, we go behind the scenes with the Parent Ambassador Council, to find out how the team are building strong regional hubs that can bring together the whole Aiglon community.

Judges agreed, this was one of the best-written magazines they reviewed this year. The stories, combined with such striking visuals, make for a very effective magazine. Great work!
