The Aiglon Experience with a Summer Twist

The Aiglon Experience with a Summer Twist
The Aiglon Experience with a Summer Twist

“The adventure is real,” says Mike Barker, Aiglon College’s Director of Summer Camp. “Each summer we take the best of Switzerland—exploring the Alps, swimming in Lac Léman, and roasting marshmallows by the campfire—and combine it with Aiglon’s beautiful mountain campus and our holistic programming.”

As over 640 students representing over 50 nationalities aged 7-16 join us from around the world we look forward to another exciting summer. “The friendships here make the difference,” continues Mike. “When you get to share a room with a new friend you can pick up a new language, share laughter over a BBQ. We hope our students will go home with new lifelong friends.”

New Student Arrival Weekend

Whether at Geneva airport or directly on campus, arriving students are welcomed by the warm smiles of our summer camp staff. A palpable sense of excitement—and a touch of anticipation—fills the air as they begin to immerse themselves in Aiglon life. Houseparents welcome each student to their boarding houses, helping them settle into their new rooms and meet their roommates. Meanwhile, day students are integrated into the programme, sharing in the experience from morning until evening.

A Summer of Opportunities

Aiglon Summer Camp 2026 stands out by offering a wide range of activities that seamlessly blend rigorous academic pursuit, creative expression, leadership development and adventure.

Morning courses cover global landscapes, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Tech-focused students can explore computer science, coding, Python, game design, and media production. The curriculum also prioritises communication through English or French courses, creative writing and theatre to sharpen critical thinking and public speaking.

Afternoons and evenings focus on experiential learning with sports, team challenges, and arts designed to build teamwork and a chance for fun and relaxation. This diverse schedule helps students discover new talents while developing resilience and problem-solving skills.

We are especially proud to host five signature programmes:

  • Kickoff, our exclusive football training experience with Manchester City Football Club led by Manchester City’s Head Coach at Aiglon, Joe Maguire, alongside two UEFA-qualified coaches.
  • Survival, delivered in partnership with the Bear Grylls Survival Academy
  • Ride, our mountain biking course set against some of the most spectacular trails.
  • Performing Arts with Guildhall School of Music & Drama, an intensive drama and theatre course led by experts from a world-leading conservatoire.
  • Adventure, providing our summer students the opportunity to experience Aiglon’s renowned expeditions.

And of course, with so many nationalities represented there will of course be programmed opportunities to cheer on the World Cup teams!

A Nurturing Staff Family

Our 80 summer camp staff work to ensure all students are enabled to participate in an environment to build confidence, learn new skills and have lots of fun. Our staff are assigned to boarding houses and activity groups to help build positive and caring relationships. Other teams also support the summer camp; our health centre is on campus while our kitchen staff ensure balanced local food is provided each day.

Alumni Families Back on Campus

Aiglon has been offering summer programmes since 1975 and generations of alumni have brought their children and grandchildren to experience Aiglon life through the summer camp. This year, we are delighted to welcome 46 alumni children back to campus. The beginning of summer camp coincided with our annual alumni reunion where this year the CLass of 1976, 1996 and 2006 celebrated their decennial reunions.

Manchester City Football Club - Trophies on Campus

As part of the opening weekend festivities we had the privilege of welcoming Manchester City Football Club (MCFC) on campus alongside their trophies for two of the biggest competitions in English soccer: the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup. Parents and students had the opportunity to be in proximity of these trophies and take a picture as a memento.
