Welcome to Issue 24

Seventy-six years after John Corlette established his visionary school high up on the mountain, we are continually amazed and delighted to see how his vision continues to be championed and evolved.

Indeed, it seems appropriate that so many of the projects and ideas fuelled by our guiding principles have come to fruition this year. On campus, we have watched over the past 18 months as the Moghadam Campus Hub, the most ambitious building project in our school’s history, has reached completion, ready for its official opening in August. On page 16, we put the new building in context.

The Hub will support our ambitions to take creative arts at Aiglon to the next level, and on page 13, Head of Creative Arts Mr Tom Dobney sets out the vision, while on page 32 we explore how the Steinway piano programme is supporting students at all levels.

Elsewhere, on page 22, we hear first-hand from our most senior alumni about what it was really like to attend Aiglon when John Corlette himself strode across the mountain, and on page 28 we hear how his determination that service be a core element of education at Aiglon continues to make a huge impact on alumni and students alike.

We hope you enjoy the issue, and we look forward to hearing from you at communications@aiglon.ch.
