28 June - 02 July 2019: Come back to the mountain for Aiglon's 70th. Visit our site for more details.
Activities & Expeditions
After engaging the mind each morning, students head outdoors to engage both their body and spirit. We have a stunning environment, and our selection of afternoon activities and expeditions ensure that students are able to maximise their experience on the mountain.
The activities and expeditions offered depend on whether students follow the "The Classic" or "The Eagle" programme, but each afternoon is based on a set programme, so students can engage themselves in a variety of different activities, games and challenges. Look below to see what is offered.
Students rotate through a varied activity plan within a group of students the same age. They are assigned a group leader (staff member) that accompanies them to all activities.
- Camp Craft
- Team Games
- Raft Building
- Climbing (Climbing wall and outside)
- Watersports - sailing, stand up paddle board, windsurfing, banana boat
- Golf (Crazy golf and Driving range)
- Ice Skating
- River Rafting
- Canyoning (older students)
- Bridge Swing (younger students)
- Aqua parc (local water park)
- Mountain Adventure - hiking including map skills and identifying flowers
At Aiglon, the Expedition programme sits at the heart of who we are. By working an age-appropriate expedition experience into every summer school session, we hope to impart this same love of the mountains to our summer school students for the weeks they are able to join us.
Students will have the chance to summit a small peak, learn new skills such as orienteering and campcraft, enjoy working togehter as a team and then relax around the campfire. This is all rounded off with a night under the stars in the Swiss Alps.
