Friendship

In 1949 John Corlette founded Aiglon College on a distinctive ethos: the balanced development of mind, body and spirit. This philosophy underpins everything we do at Aiglon, both inside and outside the classroom.

An Environment that Inspires

A strong and abiding family spirit. Motivational and outstanding educators. A truly diverse student body. A unique location. And the spirited independence that comes with being a non-profit school.
We live life on the mountain - it's our home, our classroom and our way of life.

Boarding Houses

A Curriculum that Challenges

For more than 70 years Aiglon has pushed beyond the boundaries of traditional education to offer a holistic and inspirational experience. From junior through to senior school, students benefit from all the advantages of an international boarding school. They form lasting bonds with each other and with excellent educators who guide them towards academic and personal success. Every Aiglonian leaves us prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.

A Truly International Community

Our boarding house culture is designed to empower the diversity of our student body. With 65 nationalities represented at the school, the house becomes a home in which our students can live and learn alongside friends whom they would never otherwise meet. Growing in this house identity, enriched by the cultural, social and economic diversity of their peers, Aiglonians forge global friendships that last a lifetime.

A Life Changing Adventure

Every student will face challenges designed to encourage growth. This is a natural part of life, but it's also an integral part of our programme. By undertaking these challenges together we strengthen bonds between classmates and with neighbours - across campus or across the world. Each expedition, each service project, each award and each failure offers something new. Although the unknown may frighten us, we always emerge stronger, smarter and eager for more.

5:1 STUdENT TEACHER RATIO

Teaching takes place in small classes, averaging 12 students. Outside the classroom, subject teachers, tutors and houseparents are always available to students, ensuring their developing needs can be met with the resources and encouragement they need to succeed.

PIONEERING HOLISTIC EDUCATION SINCE 1949

Meditation and mountain expeditions have resided at the core of Aiglon life since the school's inception. They are driving aspects of our daily activities and rooted in our guiding principles.

NOT-FOR-PROFIT INDEPENDENCE

Aiglon College is wholly owned and overseen by a non-profit association responsible for enabling the school to operate in accordance with the aims and principles of our Founder, John Corlette.

10% REDUCTION OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY 2029

Through student-led projects and large-scale infrastructure renewal, Aiglon has been awarded the Eco-School label for commitment to sustainable development. All building refurbishments and new builds conform to the Swiss Minergie low-energy-consumption standard, future-proofing our consumption.

A Preparation for Life

We consider our position as an international non-profit school to be one of both privilege and responsibility. Maintaining this status enables us to educate and nurture with our full focus on the students' betterment. We are dedicated to impressing upon Aiglonians the importance of contributing to the community, both locally and internationally. We consider it essential to their academic and personal development to have opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the world around us, our place within it, and our responsibilities toward it.
