Welcoming New Students

On Saturday, we were pleased to welcome 92 new students to the Aiglon community. This year, our new students join us representing 31 different nationalities. 18 of these have joined us for the Junior School and 74 for the Senior School.

Arriving students and families were welcomed with a beautiful summer day in the Alps. The Admissions Office was set up in the centre of campus to manage check-in and make sure the students and their families could find everything they needed for their first days.

One of the most important parts of the opening weekend is Aiglon’s uniform fair. Organised by the School Shop, students can visit a gigantic spread of uniforms, sport and expeditions kit and school supply items to ensure they are prepared for classes and Aiglon’s daily routine, no matter the season!

Parents and students were welcomed in-house by the house parents, deputy house parents and house tutors to ensure a warm welcome and answer any lingering questions about living expectations and the unique characteristics of each boarding house.

As students were settled, the evening concluded with a special new parents’ aperitif where new parents had the opportunity to enjoy a drink, meet one another and hear a few words of welcome from the Head Master, Mr Richard McDonald, and the Chair of the Parents Ambassador Council (PAC), Mr Egon Vorfeld.

We hope that everyone enjoyed their welcome, and we look forward to the excitement of a new academic year.
