In St Louis, the "little brother" house to everyone in Aiglon, we have managed to fit a lot into a busy term!
On the second Sunday of the term we sat down as a big family around the table to celebrate an Easter dinner, followed by an avid Easter Egg hunt, which was enjoyed by all. It was a special moment for the house, as it was the last time that the entire family would sit around one table. A week later the Year 13s enjoyed an outing to Montreux to take a breath before the stressful weeks of exams that lay ahead and to enjoy an evening amongst peers as well as their houseparents - a group that has grown into a close-knit second family over their two years in St Louis.
The house have prospered in the inter-house tennis tournament and are eagerly awaiting the final results. Elsewhere, four members of the house took time out to put a “St. Louis on Sunday” session into action by changing a tyre on a member of staff’s car that had picked up a puncture. Other St. Louis on Sunday sessions this term have included fridge and kitchen hygiene, a gentleman’s wardrobe (as demonstrated by Mr Torrance in full Scottish attire) and how to get the perfect beach body (as demonstrated by Mr Hayden). Recently, three members of the house (including a Swede and a Mexican), took the opportunity to play cricket against Cern CC near Geneva. They contributed fully in the field and between them bowled some tidy overs!
