28 June - 02 July 2019: Come back to the mountain for Aiglon's 70th. Visit our site for more details.
St. Louis has been pleased to welcome seven new students to the house from different countries, including Ghana, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and England.
As in previous years, the boys are only in the top three years in the school. The boys have been delighted to find new furniture in the dining room and living room, adding to the homely ambience of our cosy house.
We are all settling in well and getting used to the new routines of Aiglon, including a timetable with no Saturday morning lessons. The new system of Merits and Demerits has also featured some boys from the house rather prominently.
The House has been on Expedition together, climbing the Grammont (2171 m) and enjoying spectacular views over the Rhone valley and Lac Léman. Some brave souls even swam in the glacially cold water of Lac Tannay. Back in school, the boys featured strongly in the Aiglon Challenge, with Jake first student over the line and Ludwig third. House Tutor Mr Coulson was first to finish the event. As ever, Mrs Goff has been baking, and the St. Louis on Sunday sessions have started with some practical advice.
Upcoming highlights include Konstantinos, who will be waterskiing in a national competition in Greece this weekend, while Jake will be starting the European ski training season in Zermatt. Nick has a part in the school play, and four boys have joined the choir. Jason, Lewis and Aidan were the team that won the Clairmont "Drink and Think" quiz night and Senik is in Ottowa representing Aiglon at the Round Square conference. Half term will see several boys going to both Cambodia and Costa Rica with school service projects.
We have all been busy!
