We are pleased to welcome all the students and teachers back for the beginning of Aiglon’s 2018 Winter Term.
Each new term is an opportunity to appreciate again the beauty of where we live, and the privilege to live and study in such an environment. This is especially true in the winter, when Aiglon launches its ski programme and one of the most unique qualities of living in the snowy Alps comes to bear on our everyday life and routine.
To this end, the Head Master welcomed everyone back at morning assembly reminding students of the opportunities that come with a fresh start as well as offering his traditional challenge, quizzing students and staff on Aiglon’s Guiding Principles. More than rote memory, Mr McDonald asked the group to internalise the principles, describing how they are applied each day. Houseparent, Mr Knight, spoke to the value of challenge and School Guardian, Lisa, offered her view that respect goes beyond the student-teacher relationship and applies to everyone in relationship with one another.
