Moving from the junior school into a senior boys house can come with mixed emotions.
Mrs Scullion spoke to Year 9 Alpina boys (Daniil, Lucas, Toi and Andrea) to find out how they are finding life as an Alpina boy having moved up from Aiglon's Junior School this year:
Q: What do you miss most about the junior school?
A: We miss being the "seniors" of the house and having all the junior school boys in one house.
Q: What have you enjoyed most about being an Alpina boy?
A: We enjoy being more independent than we were in the junior school and we also enjoy how much help we get from the older boys in the house.
Q: What has surprised you the most about Alpina?
A: We were nervous about coming to a house with older boys. We are really surprised by how kind the year 13 boys are with the younger students.
Q: How would you describe Alpina?
A: Sporty, academic, supportive and well taken care of by the staff and students.
Q: What is your least favourite thing about Alpina?
A: We are the furthest senior boys house from the sport centre.
Q: Give me three adjectives to describe your house team of tutors, assistant houseparent, Aide de Maison and Houseparent.
A: Caring, amazing, legends.
