A Big Week in Sports
It's been a busy week in Aiglon sports and we have a number of exciting results.
Ultimate Frisbee
Mr Logie took 10 students to Neuchâtel for the first ever SGIS Ultimate Frisbee event, the team came 3rd and enjoyed the tournament and participated in an entirely new mixed gender sports event!
Football
The Middle school boys participated in the ADISR Middle school boys tournament and qualified for the semi-final stages winning an exciting penalty shoot-out, the team lost the semifinals but managed to win the small final and came in 3rd.
Tennis
We also had two girls participating in the ADISR Senior girls tennis in Leysin: Naomi & Stephanie won the tournament, winning every single match!
Athletics
14 students travelled to Geneva early on Saturday morning for the SGIS athletics Championships. All participants performed well and there were many personal bests. As a team Aiglon came 5th out of 12 schools, which was excellent considering we only had 14 athletes there.
Medal winners included:
Nadia, 3rd in Discuss
Ivan, 1st in High Jump, 2nd in Long Jump, 3rd in 100 metres
Klara, 1st in 100 metre hurdles, 2nd in 200 and 2nd in High Jump, 3rd in 100 metres
Well done to everyone participating in a wide range of sports during this exciting summer term season.
