We are pleased to announce a number of university early decision offers for members of Aiglon's Class of 2019 who will be going to the United States.
In the US, there is an admission plan called early decision round 1 (ED1) and early decision round 2 (ED2), whereby students apply early to a university. The difference with these plans compared to others is if the student is admitted, they must enroll (as they signed an ED agreement stating this commitment) and therefore withdraw any other applications already submitted to other schools around the world.
There are many advantages to applying early decision, including a slightly higher admit rate and more financial resources. Universities start to “build” their freshman/first year class with a diverse group of students with various talents and strengths. It’s one of the ways to truly indicate to a university that they are, in fact, a student’s top choice.
This admission plan is not perfect for everyone. Each student must do their research, visit the campus if possible, and determine that the programmes, location and overall atmosphere of a certain university is their ideal learning environment.
Members of Aiglon’s Class of 2019 applied and were admitted to the following universities through early decision, meaning they will enrol here in the autumn term:
Congratulations to our successful students who have already secured their places for next year!
