Our winter term officially concludes today. We can't imagine that there has ever been a winter term as unusual as this one, but we have made it to the end!
Firstly, we wish everyone a relaxing holiday. Take an opportunity to unplug and unwind. Even if there is a lot of anxiety around the world, even if life looks a little bit different right now, it is essential to take this time to rest and relax.
Secondly, despite the challenges ahead, we hope our community is ready to embrace the journey that is to come. Aiglon's Executive Director, Richard McDonald, offers the following encouragement to our entire global community:
"The test of a great education is not how it prepares you for the predictable, but rather how it arms you, in mind, body and spirit, to face the unpredictable.
You are an Aiglonian - whether a former student, employee or parent - a remarkably resilient community. You will know that we need to unlock our best selves, right now, whether as leaders or followers.
We need to embrace challenge, we need to respect others, we need to demonstrate responsibility, we need to think globally and creatively, and we need to serve others and the living world. Aiglonians are resourceful, and they understand that there is more in them than they think. I encourage you all to draw down on that resource bank that is an Aiglon education and be your greatest self!"
Thirdly, we want you to know that we are here for you. We already hear encouraging stories about house chat groups, video meetings, inspiring messages and simple acts of kindness —and we hope to share more with you in the days and weeks ahead. Whether you are a parent, student or staff know that the wider Aiglon community is here to support you through this time.
If you haven't seen it already, please read our article about the upcoming Remote Learning provisions. We will continue to communicate about these changes in the days and weeks to come.

Stay well, and we will see you on a video screen soon!
