We would like you to meet a member of our Class of 2020! We will be sharing graduate stories each week.
I am so excited to attend Duke University this fall, where I will be taking French alongside my main studies in Entrepreneurship, Film Production and Dramatic Arts. My passion is for film and creating stories -- and I am eager to develop the skills and discipline at Duke that will enable me to give rise to my (often completely ridiculous) ideas.
During my time at Aiglon, I have continuously felt uplifted by a community with an inextinguishable passion for not just learning, but for life. I arrived at Aiglon having grown up in Los Angeles, and although my mother is French, I had always been in awe of and intimidated by kids from different parts of the world -- mostly because I thought they were so much more interesting and wouldn’t want to hang out with a girl from the U.S..
I was welcomed by the Aiglon community and Clairmont House with open arms, and my three years here have given me the confidence and independence to interact with people from all over the world. Although I am eager to begin this next chapter and to join an even larger and more diverse community next year, I truly will miss everything about Aiglon.
I will especially miss my time on the girls' basketball team, where I met some of my best friends, had the opportunity to learn from inspiring coaches, shared many laughs, and won this championship trophy against Beau Soleil (twice)!! Thank you Aiglon, I would do it all over again if I could
