Over the weekend, a group of 13 Aiglon students descended on the Hague for the 51st THIMUN conference.
This Model United Nations (MUN) conference is the largest of its kind for school-aged kids in the world, and hosts up to 3,000 delegates from every continent. Students have to write a resolution on a current global issue which they will lobby, merge and debate with other students who have been studying their same topic area. "I'm very excited and looking forward to the experience," said Joana after the final preparation session on Wednesday.
"I'm very proud of the delegation. I believe we have a strong group," said Mr Goff, MUN advisor.
The conference has gotten off to an exciting start. Our own students have started well with Sofija lined up to be main submitter on her resolution, Stephen, Alexander and Luiza going well and Madeline at her most forceful and persuasive.
We look forward to hearing how the conference goes!
