Summer Term Elderly Lunch
Posted on 2nd May 2022
We are pleased that the Elderly Lunch tradition is seeing a strong continuation into the summer term.
On Wednesday 27 April Aiglon hosted their second elderly lunch for the Association les Gentianes in the Grande Salle. We welcomed 59 local guests to a fantastic three-course meal provided by our Cuisine, who as ever, did an amazing job.
Entertainment was provided by the Art Department and the Music Department. Mr Evans gave everyone a tutorial in portraiture and our guests had great fun trying to draw their companions without looking at the paper.
Mr Dobney assembled the whole choir to sing a mixture of classic and modern pieces, which was followed by great performances from Alice, Anfisa and Esther. Sofia then sang two popular French songs which all our guests enjoyed singing along to. Finally, Max accompanied by Ms Hristova performed an amazing folk tune by Zili Li ‘The Fisherman’s Harvest Song’
Last, but not least, the student volunteers who served throughout the day were a credit to Aiglon and I was immensely proud of how hard they worked to make everyone feel welcome and to provide a first-class service for our guests.
A big thank you to all involved.
