Alpina (Senior Boys)
Alpina boys are known for their house spirit and commitment to each other. Our house has easy access to a basketball court and football pitch, and our balconies offer the best views on campus.
Welcome to Alpina,
We are committed to maintaining a culture built on the foundations of mutual respect, encouragement and personal growth.
Alpina's wonderful house spirit and committed team of teachers and support staff make it the best “home-away-from-home” your son could hope for. Whether he is academic, artistic, athletic or any combination thereof, your son will have the opportunity to play a valuable role in Aiglon's varied inter-house competitions and in the strong culture of this house.
Alpina House Team
This year's house team includes four new additions and four experienced "Alpina veterans." New houseparent (Dan Leger) is joined by fellow newcomers: Nicholas Rumbold (Assistant Houseparent); Brent Jones (House Aid); and Florence Watson (French). Our long-serving members are Rory Kilgour (Geography and ToK); Natalie Osborne (Learning Support); John Turner (Head of Physics); and Peter Willett (Head of Art). Together, this dynamic team covers a range of expertise and experiences that provide the boys with a strong support network.
Dan Leger is starting his first year at Aiglon and his twentieth year of teaching. Half of his career was spent working in boarding as either a houseparent or assistant in Quebec. His first seven years of teaching in Switzerland kept him away from boarding life, so he was thrilled to accept his new position in Alpina. Dan is dedicated to supporting each of the boys in his house and looks forward to a fulfilling year of teaching in the Geography, ToK, and PSHE departments.
