Belvedere
Belvedere House sits at the top of the campus looking out over the Dents du Midi from a brand new boarding house. Opened in January 2023, the building gave the boys a new house, but they are the ones that make it a home.

Welcome to Belvedere
Belvedere is a house that runs on kindness and honesty, and we live as a family within a home. The Belvedere boys are known to be a real mix of characters, we have some of Aiglon's hardest working scholars, energetic sportsmen, talented musicians, and even some aspiring chefs! However, the one thing that all of the boys have in common is their love for one another, and their outstanding reputation amongst staff and students alike.
This house is always full of laughter and energy, whether it be the boys heading out to play football on Belvedere pitch, or heading down to the games room for a round of pool or darts, there is always something to do.
We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into the family.

House History
Looking over the lower campus and towards the Rhône Valley, the image of Belvedere is often a visitor's first impression of Aiglon. It has been accommodating senior boys since 1959, when it was purchased by the school to house its growing student body. Formerly the Hotel Belvedere, it has retained its name to this day. But following the opening of a ‘new’ Belvedere in 2022, the original building is being recommissioned to provide further teaching and learning spaces. The Belvedere boys now enjoy a beautiful new construction on upper campus behind Alpina.Learn more on the virtual tour
