Our students and parents would agree that the Aiglon Summer School experience is a unique first step on a fascinating journey. Whether intended as a taster in consideration of applying to our full academic year, or just to obtain a new perspective in this beautiful part of the world, students aged 8-16 will find their experiences are ideal preparation for the challenges ahead, with enormous fun to be had too.

The Classic
Ages 8-12
New opportunities to combine enriching education with expeditionary adventure awaits you in Aiglon's Classic summer programme. This is a chance to dive into untested waters with the reassurance that they will be supported by enthusiastic, caring experts. Come and explore!
The Eagle
Ages 13-16
The more you overcome, the more capable you are to set out upon ambitious journeys. The Eagle programme will help you prepare you not just for our mountain expeditions, but help you relish the challenges in the world beyond. Come and chart your own journey through our Eagle programme.
Kickoff
Ages 10-15
For those seeking a holistic summer experience, students have the option to combine the Aiglon College Summer School with the Manchester City Football School programme. This unique combination allows students to enjoy the best of both worlds, balancing academic exploration with athletic development.
Programme Overview
Afternoon Activities
Students rotate through a varied activity plan within a group of students the same age. They are assigned a staff group leader who accompanies them to all activities, which may include art, camp craft, team games, drama, dance, orienteering, hiking, swimming, climbing (indoor and outdoor), bowling, ice skating, canyoning (for older students), surfing (for older students), wake surf, river rafting, stand up paddle, cookery, golf, mini golf, real fly (for older students), tennis, bodyboarding, trampolining, kayaking, design challenge.
Morning Courses
Are you just developing your English skills? No worries, join one of our intensive English courses. Or, if you prefer, you can sign up for French! We offer a variety of language classes for all levels. If you would rather focus on another subject we also offer a variety of other morning courses, including: Sports Discovery, Swiss Explorer, Science & Engineering Investigator, or Robotics & Coding. There is something for everyone.
New in 2024 we are also pleased to offer Art Explorer and our unique partnership as a Manchester City Football School, available as a morning course.
Expedition Time
Central to Aiglon's 70+ year existence has been the exploration of the outdoors. We live in a beautiful alpine environment, and we make the most of it! Step off of campus to easily access the mountain train, gondola, or any number of other activities that are awaiting in our mountain environment. Every student has the opportunity to go on expedition and form the memories that are central to our ethos.
Boarding
Students are allocated their boarding house based on gender and age and to include a diverse range of nationalities. Each boarding house has a live-in team (house parent and two tutors) who manage the well-being of every student and are the first point of contact for parents. Rooms are spacious and are typically shared with two or three other students of a similar age.
A Day at Summer School
Students enjoy a balanced day with lots of time for learning, fun and community. On some days there will also be expeditions or local excursions.
