Scholarship Challenge

Dave Shepherd, Aiglon's Advancement Strategy Adviser, will be sailing across the Atlantic in support of scholarships at Aiglon.

On Sunday 19 November, he will begin the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). The ARC is the longest running annual transatlantic rally. The route is from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to Rodney Bay, St Lucia. The 2,800 nautical mile passage on the North East tradewind is characterised by a tremendous camaraderie between all those taking part.

"This is a lifetime ambition to experience blue ocean sailing. I’m excited by the opportunity to challenge myself both physically and mentally, but I’ll depart with a degree of nervousness as I contemplate the vastness of the ocean, a crew I’ve never met, and a yacht I’ve never seen.

But exciting journeys are rarely familiar, much like the the ones our scholars embark on when joining Aiglon. I aim to fully embrace my opportunity and, in recognition of my good fortune, will support the education of some students of outstanding promise and potential. Please consider joining me!"

Your contribution whether large or small is very much appreciated, and will make a transformational difference.

All gifts up to CHF 500 will be matched by Dave's generous matched giving, meaning that your donation will make double the impact.

Thank you for your contribution. It will make a meaningful difference in the lives of deserving students. Your kindness and support are truly appreciated.
