Costa Rica Service Project

Date: 14 - 23 October 2018

The Costa Rica service project will depart in mid October this year. This is a brand new service project that aims to promote the conservation of biodiversity and sustainability to a keen and adventurous group of our IB students.

We will be based in Barra Honda National Park, about a 4 hour drive from San Jose. Once there, our group will be helping with collecting vital data on birds, bats , monkeys and butterflies. We will also visit Monte Verde cloud forest to learn more about the unique flora and fauna in this unique and vulnerable part of the world by exploring the forest from the vantage point of suspended canopy walkways down to the low forest trails.

The trip is led by teachers Mrs Hamilton, who specialises in environmental education, and Head of Spanish, Mrs Luco.
