Kenya Service Project

Date: Winter Half Term | 8-17 February 2019

This exciting service project brings students on a visit to Kenya to work with our partner schools and engage in both educational and environmental service activities in the Lake Naivasha region.

This project is open to all members of Years 9-13 and is scheduled to run from Friday 8th February to Sunday 17th February 2019. This trip is timed to coincide with the February half term, with students departing early on the last day of half of term and returning in time for lessons at the start of the second half of term.

As well as visiting both Starehe Boys and Girls schools, this project offers a number of opportunities including:

  • Team Teaching at several primary schools (2 days)
  • Discussion groups focusing on cultural understanding and global issues
  • Creativity & Sport
  • Mt Logonot National Park – Hiking & Park clean-up
  • A guided tour of 'Oserian Flower Farms', one of the worlds' largest exporters of fresh flowers
  • Game Reserve Safari
