Aiglon Discovery Curriculum, Tenerife
Date: November 2019
As part of the Aiglon Discovery Curriculum our Year 8 students undertake two trips each year – to Tenerife and to the Ionian island of Corfu.
Tenerife is a volcanic island which is part of the Canaries, off the west coast of north Africa. Activities include visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site to view the volcano Mt. Teide (3,718m), using a cable car and walking through the lava caves with a guide. We also hope to be visiting a bio-climate centre, touring a banana plantation, enjoying a catamaran boat trip in order to see the basalt cliffs and swimming in the warm waters of Playa las Americas.
And of course, the students will also be able to enjoy flamenco dancing and Canarian cuisine!
This trip is led by Mr. James Piggott and as part of the Aiglon Discovery Curriculum, all Year 8 students are involved. The trip takes place from 16th to 24th November.
