Adventure Ecology Project, Thailand
Date: February 2020
Following the extremely successful 2019 Ecology Service Project for Sixth Form students, we are thrilled to now be able to offer a modified version for younger students. This adventure project, based on the beautiful island of Koh Chang in Thailand, has four main elements:
Diving education, this may include learning to dive or enhancing diving skills;
Service, including a shore-based clean-up of the local beaches;
Conservation work, where students survey local marine life;
Adventure activities, including sea kayaking and visiting a local waterfall.
On Koh Chang (one of the largest islands in the Gulf of Thailand) our students will have the opportunity to experience delicious Thai cuisine and observe a different way of life while contributing in a practical way to the vital preservation of the ecology of the area.
This trip is open to students from Year 7 to 10. It runs for the duration of the Winter term half-term break (5th to 16th February 2020).
